Want to ease the financial load of your first year at Providence? Check out our wide variety of scholarships and bursaries for University College and Theological Seminary students. Also take note of our Academic Excellence Scholarships which are given automatically based on your grade 11 & 12 high school academic averages. Generous supporters of Providence make these awards possible. If you are the recipient of an award, you may be required to participate in thanking and meeting supporters. Please be sure to have your application to Providence sent in before the scholarships and bursaries deadline.

Scholarships and bursaries that are for full-tuition only cover the domestic tuition equivalent for students who are charged international tuition, and to a maximum of a 100% course load (or 15 credit hours per semester)
Automatic Awards
Academic Entrance Scholarships
Academic Entrance Scholarships are available to all qualified students entering their first year of studies at Providence University College. These scholarships are automatically given to students based on their academic averages achieved in high school grades 11-12. Submit your application to Providence before August 31 in order to be eligible.

High school transcripts based on a GPA or letter grades are also eligible for AES based on equivalency.
AES will be awarded provided the recipient is registered at Providence University College for 12 or more credit hours per semester within their first year of studies and the recipient is able to maintain a GPA of 2.0 or greater.
The student who has achieved the highest academic averages in high school grades 11 -12 (those applying within 6 months of high school graduation) will also receive the Academic Excellence Scholarship of $500.

University College Entrance Scholarships

University College Entrance Bursaries
Bursaries come in various amounts ($250 – $5000) and are awarded to students based on financial need. University College students are eligible to receive a $150 bursary if they submit a completed application for Providence by December 1 prior to their year of entry (e.g. applying for Fall 2020, completed application completed in December 1 2019). Providence also rewards returning students based on the AGPA, total credit hours and for referring prospective students to Providence.
