OTTERBURNE, MB – Providence, in cooperation with Golden West and CHVN 95.1 FM Radio, recently launched a ‘High School Student-Athlete of the Month’ campaign. For June, we are celebrating a local basketball player – Peyton Kehler.

The larger Southern Manitoba community, particularly in the Steinbach area, is well aware of Peyton’s remarkable skills on the basketball court as a point/shooting guard. Whether she is competing in the Prairie Basketball League (PBL) or representing Steinbach Regional Secondary School (SRSS), she consistently proves herself as a star both on and off the court.

We, at Providence, want to celebrate Peyton this month for her unwavering commitment to varsity girls’ basketball, as evidenced by her frequent recognition as the ‘athlete of the week’ in her league, as well as her role as a youth advisory member for Lead Thru Sport, where she inspires other young girls to participate in team sports.

We are pleased to present her with a prize basket comprising a crystal crest award, a Pilots hoodie and T-shirt, and a Providence water bottle. Peyton will also be eligible for a grand prize — a $1,500 scholarship to be awarded in June 2024 – should she consider applying to Providence.

PEYTON, as you approach the completion of your 2022/2023 school year, we wish you the very best! We will be cheering for you from the sidelines as you continue to excel in your sport and thrive as an outstanding athlete.
