Associate of Arts in Business for International Students

This BULLER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS program is designed with you, the international student, in mind. It can be completed in 20 months and is located in downtown Winnipeg. You will gain entry-level knowledge, skills, and character needed for effective service in administration and leadership functions in business and in not-for-profit organizations.

The successful graduate will excel in:

  • Skills Acquisition – The field of business is broad but the abilities obtained are valuable in many different contexts. Students will develop skills for application in problem solving, ethics in the business environment, goal-setting, team management, and communications.
  • Faith Integration – The faculty prepare students to face the challenge of bringing faith and business together through practical application.
  • Academic Learning – Students are encouraged to pursue their BA or BBA degrees at the Providence University College campus in Otterburne, MB

Providence is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) and graduates of our AA program will be eligible (and can apply for) the Post Graduation Work Permit in Canada which is valid for up to three years.

Program Details

The program is for a 2-year Associate of Arts Degree and is divided into two blocks:

  • “Year One,” comprised of five 8-week “terms” over 10 months, and
  • “Year Two,” comprised of an additional five “terms” over 10 months, for a total of 20 months for the program.

Students will register for each year separately. Students will complete two courses during each term.

Admissions

Admissions Requirements

Secondary School Requirement (for India): One of the following with 70% overall and minimum 60%:

  • CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) or ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) – Higher Secondary Certificate required
  • Punjab, Haryana, and Gujarat State Boards – Higher Secondary Certificate required
  • All other State Boards – Higher Secondary transcripts required

English Proficiency Requirements:

  • Academic IELTS with a minimum of 6.5 overall, with no band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT with a minimum of 20 in Writing, Reading, Listening, and Speaking
  • Cambridge English Scale Score of at least 176
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE – Academic) of at least 56

Note: students with an IELTS score of 6.0 overall (with no band below 5.5) may be eligible to enroll in the English for Academic Purposes program to upgrade their proficiency levels as a prerequisite for beginning their studies in the Associate of Arts in Business Administration program

On-Shore Students
For on-shore students (students already studying at a Canadian post-secondary institution) who wish to transfer to Providence, the English Proficiency requirement may be waived if the student has completed 24 credit hours, has a grade of C+ or better in an Academic Writing course, and with a AGPA of 2.0 or better. An official transcript from the Canadian post secondary institution must be submitted directly from the institution.

Students, who are accepted into our Providence Downtown AA in Business program, must pay all of their tuition and fees in full by the due dates. The approved method of payment is as follows:
