Announcing CPHR Manitoba Accreditation for Master of Management Program

Mar 2, 2026 | News, University College

WINNIPEG, MB Providence University College is pleased to announce that the Master of Management degree, offered through the Buller School of Business, has been formally accredited by CPHR Manitoba. This marks Providence’s first recognition under the association’s Post-Secondary Institution Accreditation Program — and Manitoba’s first graduate-level program accredited by CPHR.

“It’s exciting to have another accredited program which allows students the opportunity to fast-track pursuing the designation upon graduation,” said Ron Gauthier, CEO of CPHR Manitoba. Beginning in 2026, graduates of the Master of Management program will be one step closer to earning the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation that is recognized internationally. Eligible graduates may qualify for a waiver, exempting them from taking the National Knowledge Exam (NKE).

“This accreditation reflects the strength and rigor of our graduate business education,” said Nicole Barnabé, Associate Dean of the Buller School of Business. “We are committed to preparing graduates who are equipped not only with advanced management knowledge, but also with the professional competencies required to lead and serve effectively in today’s evolving workplaces. Partnering with CPHR Manitoba creates meaningful opportunities for our students to accelerate their professional journey and contribute to the HR profession with excellence and integrity.”

To qualify for the NKE waiver, graduates must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 and apply within five years of completing the program.
