Distance Education
At Providence, we offer Christ-centered, Bible-based distance education. This drives our tradition of sound academic excellence powered by rigorous pedagogy, excellent faculty, and service-oriented, student-focused staff in a cordial environment that allows robust exchange of ideas in a guided exploratory space.
Distance Education at Providence includes courses delivered through livestreamed in-person classes, modular classes, hybrid format, directed study, and asynchronous online learning. For more information on what these formats mean, refer to the ‘How Providence Distance Education Works’ section below.
Note: Our MA Counselling and MA Counselling Psychology programs require that certain courses be taken in unmediated face-to-face contact with the instructor (i.e. 3 courses for the MA Counselling; 5 courses for the MA Counselling Psychology). Unmediated face-to-face contact with the instructor includes modular (week long), hybrid, and travel study courses.
