OTTERBURNE, MB – The 4th Annual Day4Prov was a great success! The Providence community came together for a day of celebration on Thursday, March 17, displaying their newest and oldest Providence shirts, hats, jerseys and more as they posted on social media about the difference Providence has made in their lives.

Students and staff enjoyed specialty hot beverages – cappuccinos, lattes and expressoes – served by PERK Coffee Bar, played games to win prizes, and had their photo taken to show their school pride!

Those who shared on social media were entered to win specific prizes. Congratulations to our winners!

  • Student Winner – Kate Hanson
  • Alumni Winner – Jenna Arendt
  • Employee Winner – Christopher Lortie

On Day4Prov, we all participated through wearing, giving and sharing. Donations of any size were counted towards special challenge gifts that were unlocked throughout the day, and our Providence community came together to give a total of 70 gifts, raising more than $14,000. That’s twice as much as last year!

We are happy to report that our Providence employees truly exhibited pride and ‘a love for’ their workplace on Day4Prov. When 30 employee gifts were reached, a special $1,000 Presidential Challenge Gift was unlocked. And then, when we reached 40 employee gifts, we unlocked the #PietheProvost event and Dr. Nicholas Greco received a pie to the face in front of a cheering crowd!

A big thank-you to everyone who participated, who gave back, and who celebrated the impact of Providence on their lives! You all made this year’s Day4Prov one to remember.
