The dining experience at Providence is friendly, quick, comfortable and tasty, reveals a Sodexo survey. Providence students, faculty and staff recently answered numerous questions about food services on campus, participating in an exercise that also included nearly 80,000 Sodexo customers from throughout North America.
According to the survey results, Providence students value the friendliness of the Sodexo cooks, servers and cashiers and are pleased with the temperature of dishes, food presentation and quality of hot entrees. They are also comfortable in the institution’s J. & E. Scobie Dining Hall, which was built as part of the Reimer Student Life Centre in 2009.
“The [cafeteria] does offer a variety of foods, healthy foods,” reads an anonymous student comment. “I really like the ice cream variety!” reads another.
One concern brought up by several survey participants involves the dining hall’s hours, which many students suggested be extended into the evening. The most popular suggestion, however, was that a certain cocoa and hazelnut spread be included among the condiments: Nutella.
Providence employees, too, are pleased with the food and food services on campus, underlining friendliness, comfort and cleanliness as areas where Sodexo excels.
They also appreciate the changing menu and daily variety of food, although many would prefer the option to package their meals “to go.”
“We have a fabulous food services program. Keep up the good work!” commented one employee. “Thanks for your work! The cafeteria is amazing!” added another.
