Seminary school year begins with worshipful retreat at St. Benedict’s

Sep 10, 2018 | News, Theological Seminary

Providence Theological Seminary students and faculty enjoyed a pre-semester day of fellowship and reflection on Tuesday, September 4 at St. Benedict’s Retreat and Conference Centre near Winnipeg.

The morning began with singing and sharing, after which Providence alumnus Marco Marinho spoke about a children’s ministry he founded in his native Brazil. Attendees then separated into groups for a time of prayer.

Following a lunchtime meal, the students and professors enjoyed the contemplative quiet of St. Benedict’s grounds before reconvening for communion. Altogether, the day served as a worshipful launch to the school year and centred the Seminary as a whole on Christ.
