Winnipeg, MB – On March 21st, MLA Richard Perchotte from Selkirk made mention of Providence’s Centennial in a private member statement at the Manitoba Legislature in support of Providence as a post-secondary institution in Southern Manitoba and in support of our mission ‘to teach people to grow in knowledge and character for leadership and service.’
In the video below, MLA Perchotte is recorded as saying, “Today, I want to recognize a significant milestone in higher education in Manitoba. 2025 marks Providence University College and Theological Seminary’s 100th anniversary year. Since its founding in 1925, Providence has been a pillar of academic excellence and leadership development, shaping students who make a difference in our province, across Canada, and around the world.”
We thank MLA Perchotte and the Legislature for taking the time to acknowledge and recognize us as we’re celebrating 100 years and planning a special weekend gala, homecoming and concert on September 5 to 7. Watch for details at prov.ca/100.
