Thanks to a recent donation from Don Thiessen, Providence now houses one of the largest collections of hymnals in Canada.
Thiessen, who headed the Providence music department in the mid-1980s, gifted his personal collection of hymnals to the institution, which is now home to nearly 2,300 volumes, 789 of which are hardcover.
The hymnals range in age and rarity, and the public is welcome to view and handle them at the Otterburne campus.
