Providence cheering on the Winnipeg Jets at Whiteout street parties

May 9, 2018 | Institution / General, News

Providence employees, like many Manitobans, have been enjoying the #WPGWhiteout street parties and cheering on the Winnipeg Jets during the ongoing Stanley Cup Play-Offs.

Following Monday’s loss to the Nashville Predators—which more than 20,000 people watched on giant screens along Donald Street, Graham Avenue and Smith Street—the Jets will need to win Game Seven away from home in order to advance to the next round.

No doubt many Providence staff and faculty, as well as students and alumni, will be hoping for a victory and the franchise’s first trip to the Conference Finals. And some more outdoor celebration!

Here are some images submitted by Providence employees. It’s our way of saying “GO JETS GO” as Game Seven approaches!
