3.21.19: A Day for Providence

Mar 12, 2019 | Institution / General, News

Providence impacts students, helping to develop them into leaders of character and faith who make a difference for the Kingdom of God. Students like Carina, who began her time at Providence in the Mile Two program (2017) and moved into the University College in September 2018. Providence is dear to Carina’s heart, having had a number of life changing experiences in her time here. “While at Providence I have learned how to connect deeply with others,” Carina shares, “who have in turn strengthened and encouraged me.”

Why does Providence matter to you?

On March 21, 2019, Day 4 Prov, we are asking you to share your story of Providence and to consider a financial gift in support of experiences of students like Carina. You can participate in three ways:

  • Wear – Wear your Providence gear! Proudly display your support in the form of hats, tees, hoodies, etc.!
  • Give – We aspire to have 123 gifts of any amount come in on this one day – a record never achieved in Providence’s history! Give a gift of any size towards   the Providence Fund. Challenge gifts will add to the impact of gifts given by dropping extra dollars to our total when we have reached a certain number of gifts.
  • Share – Share about your awesome experience at Providence! Include #Day4Prov on your social media posts, sharing your excitement about Providence with those you know!

You can be a part of our mission. To learn more or donate, visit Prov.ca/Day4Prov.

UPDATE:

To say that the day was a success is an understatement. A total of 90 gifts brought in just over $15,000 dollars to Providence, helping us to become one of Canada’s foremost Christian universities that offers Christ-centered education, strong community, and academic excellence. The vibe, both on-campus and off, was so positive! We had hundreds of people interacting with us on social media, CHVN was live on our campus spreading the word about Providence, and many students, staff and faculty joined us for activities in the Reimer Student Life Centre throughout the day.
