Forced to Flee  Exercise  |  7 PM

Daryl Brown - Executive Director of MCC Manitoba
Simone Thiessen - MCC Community Engagement Coordinator

Forced to Flee is a simulation exercise in which people are forced to flee their home due to conflict or other hardships. Participants are divided into family units of 4-5 people and make decisions based on the simulation information and resources they’re provided. Each decision has its own consequence that may help, or hurt, the family’s attempts to leave their home and arrive at a refugee camp safely. Following the Forced to Flee exercise Daryl Brown and Simone Thiessen will guide the group through a debrief of the experience, and share some information about displaced peoples, refugees, and resettlement.

Please join us for a stimulating, interactive evening of learning!
