Providence Graduate: Rowena
Graduation Year: 2024
Post-Graduate Education: Art and Architectural History, School of Fine Art, University of Manitoba (MA Student)
In Rowena’s Own Words: “I was at Providence for 4 years from 2020 to 2024 as a Humanities student with a focus on history. My time there was marked with lots of learning, making new friends, and being a part of a great community of students, staff, and faculty. I found the environment to be kind and caring with the right amount of push to learn more, allowing me to think, write, and process better. I am finding that the wide range of topics I learned within my literature, history, and biblical studies courses have helped prepare me for the world of art and architecture history and its many elements. Literature courses taught me to think and pick apart, history to see patterns, and biblical studies to dig into topics that are often ignored or forgotten. My time at Prov has led me to want to pursue further education to see how much more I can learn about topics that interest me and also how much more I can grow as a person.”
