For Bekah, Providence was much more than just getting a degree. Through her study of sociology, she learned what it means to be intellectually rigorous and deeply compassionate, and the importance of prioritizing key values such as empathy, curiosity, and respect for personal autonomy.
Providence truly shaped me as a person and has allowed me to have a very strong foundation in the work that I do today – working with individuals with complex mental health and addictions – where I am able to be a professional support utilizing a trauma-informed, person-centered approach.
