Are you eager to gain hands-on experience while working closely with a specialized marketing and communications team, all while enhancing your resume with valuable skills?

The Providence University College ‘Social Media Ambassador Program’ offers an exciting and unique opportunity for students to develop professional social media expertise before graduation. As an ambassador, you’ll collaborate with the Marketing Department, working within a team to create and curate engaging, informative, and relevant content aimed at increasing awareness and strengthening Providence’s reputation across institutional (#provmanitoba) social media platforms.

What is a Social Media Ambassador?

Social Media Ambassadors are current students who are enthusiastic about Providence University College and eager to share an authentic glimpse of the Prov experience. By creating content for prospective students, you’ll help extend the university’s reach, attract new students, and enhance Providence’s brand and reputation in innovative and impactful ways.

What Are My Responsibilities?
  • Take part in brainstorming sessions, offering creative ideas for multiple social media platforms like Instagram, SnapChat and Facebook.
  • Stay informed about campus events and identify opportunities for social media engagement.
  • Complete assigned tasks and actively contribute to content creation, including writing captions, capturing photos, and filming short videos.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and serve as a representative of Providence.
  • Dedicate two hours per month to content creation, with some assignments requiring attendance at university events, which may take place during evenings or weekends.

Am I Eligible?
  • You must be a current student at Providence University College.
  • Have experience in digital content creation, including video shooting and editing.
  • Be engaged in campus life and passionate about promoting Prov’s achievements and spirit.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic (reliable, organized, a team player, and eager to learn).
