Women’s Volleyball Signs Libero Maddie Oselies

Otterburne, MB - The Providence Pilots women’s volleyball team has added dynamic libero Maddie Oselies from Edmonton, AB to their roster for the fall of 2022.

Making her way to Manitoba, Maddie joins the program from the Northern Alberta Volleyball Club (NAVC) and the Harry Ainlay High School Varsity programs. Maddie was a part of the JV City Championship team in Edmonton and also captured 3rd in Division 2 at the National Championships with her club.

“I am super excited to come to Providence next fall,” shared Maddie. “I’m so thankful for the opportunity to attend a university and play with people who have the same values and beliefs as me. I can’t wait to get to grow in my faith and as a person over these next few years!”

Maddie is known for her incredible work ethic, aggression on defense, and positive attitude on the court. Her platform control and attention to detail will be welcomed additions to the program.

“I am thrilled to have Maddie signing with our program,” Head coach Kyle Guenther said. “She brings a high level of athleticism, skill, and poise to the back row. Maddie is a perfect fit character wise for our program. I can’t wait to see her determination and work ethic in a Pilots uniform next year!”

Oselies will be taking a Bachelor of Theology during her time at Providence. Maddie has earned honors of distinction in her Junior and Senior high school levels which will set her up well as transitions to University.

Welcome to the Pilots family Maddie!
