Providence Pilots Women's Soccer Announces Signing of Goalkeeper Isabella Geith
Providence Pilots head coach, Tory Walker, announced Friday the signing of St. Charles goalkeeper, Isabella Geith.
Geith shared her excitement for the chance to play for the Pilots and push herself to the next level.
"I am super excited to attend Providence, and to be a part of the Providence community on and off the pitch," she said. "I am looking forward to pushing myself, academically, spiritually and physically."
The Winnipeg senior from Westwood Collegiate has been playing soccer most of her life. In her 2019-2020 soccer season she was awarded most improved for her club team St. Charles.
Geith is known for her fearlessness, aggression in the net and tough mental game.
Geith comes to Providence to study Psychology and play soccer.
Head coach Tory Walker had this to say about his newest recruit, "Over the recruitment process we got to know Isabella's character. What stood out to us was her strong desire to persevere and the mental resilience that goes along with that. She will be a great addition to our team both on and off of the field. This 2021 recruiting class is coming together and I believe we will be a deep team. I am excited to see our potential and to get back on the pitch."
