Providence Pilots Women's Soccer Add First Player of the 2021 Season
Head Coach Tory Walker has announced his first signing of the 2021 season today from Langley, British Columbia, Jordyn Briggs.
"I am happy to have signed our first player for next fall. Jordyn is a great soccer player and will help continue to raise our level. She also comes highly recommended, because of her work ethic and attitude," said coach Walker. "I have had Jordyn on my radar for the past three or four years and had the privilege to get to know her more lately. I believe she is going to be a great fit to our team and team culture. This year has been difficult, but as coaches we have turned our focus to next season. This feels like the first step in the right direction."
Jordyn is known on the field for her high soccer IQ, her hard work and aggressive play.
On and off the field she is an over-achiever. She has been an honour roll student each year of high school as well as all-star and co-captain for her soccer club Langley United.
Jordyn plans on studying Psychology here at Providence. During her free time Jordyn enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and of course playing soccer. She has also given a lot of her time to volunteering such as a school trip to Costa Rica where she worked at a local elementary school.
Jordyn shared her enthusiasm by saying, "I’m excited to start a new chapter of my life playing soccer and continuing my academics at Providence!"
Welcome to the Pilot family Jordyn!
