OTTERBURNE, March 6, 2019 – Providence Athletics is excited to introduce a new initiative called “Adopt-a-Pilot”. This program provides an opportunity for parents, fans, alumni, donors and businesses to partner with Providence’s student-athletes to ensure their success.

“Adopt-a-Pilot” focuses on the development of Providence Athletics to become one of Canada’s top Christian collegiate athletic programs. Gifts to the “Adopt-a-Pilot” initiative support all of the Pilots student-athletes and their overall experience, allowing us to maintain high standards of competition, coaching and mentorship.
Every year, 90+ varsity student-athletes put on the Providence blue and white, bringing their skills, character, work ethic and leadership to an athletic program anchored in the Christian faith. The cost to “Adopt-a-Pilot” is $600 per academic year. Donors are welcomed into the Providence Aviator’s Club and are eligible to receive a season’s pass for all Pilots home games.

Athletic Director Scott Masterson is excited by the impact this initiative will have on student-athletes:
“We are so thankful for the history of success we have within our Athletics program at Providence, both competitive as well as missional success. We are also very excited about the future growth of our program and we want to continue investing in it by developing and improving the overall experience of our athletes. This is a great way for former athletes to give back to a program that they were able to enjoy. It’s also a great way for those who know a current athlete to have a direct impact on the experience of that athlete. I would like to invite you to prayerfully consider joining us in this new initiative!”
