Pilots Women's Volleyball Sign Serena Algera for 2020-2021 Season
Pilots women's volleyball head coach Kyle Guenther added depth, athleticism and power to his team today as he announced the addition of MHSAA Provincial All-Star Serena Algera.
Serena, an offensive threat on the left side from Calvin Christian School and Tsunami Volleyball Club, has led both her teams this past year as a team captain.
The 5'11" graduating all-star comes to Providence to study in the Buller School of Business.
“I’m looking forward to experiencing the next level in both my education as well as volleyball," said Serena, "I’m also excited to see how Providence will help shape me as a follower of Christ and a student.”
Head coach Kyle Guenther echoed her excitement by saying, “I’m really excited to have Serena join our team. She is a fantastic fit both on and off the court. Her drive to be a top level athlete and a strong desire to deepen her faith are what make her such a great addition to our program. Serena brings height to the outside and an overall athleticism that will instantly raise the level of our team. She has strong leadership qualities that will be welcomed on a relatively young team.”
Welcome to the Pilot family Serena!
