Pilots Women's Soccer Add Defender Ava Temple for Fall 2020 Season

Ava is a centre defender from Yarrow, British Columbia. She has been the captain of her Fraser Valley Metro Selects team and has also been playing for her high school, Sardis Secondary, varsity team.

As an honours student for the past 4 years, Ava is coming to Providence to study in the Buller School of Business as well as play for the Pilots women's soccer team.

Head coach Tory Walker expressed his excitement by saying, "Ava comes to Providence with a great soccer resume and awesome references from her coaches and teacher. Over the recruiting process I knew I wanted Ava to come and play for us based on her soccer abilities. After getting to know her a bit more I think her personality and character will fit right in with the team culture. Ava will come in to this team and be a difference maker right from day one. I am excited she decided to join our program."

Ava is known for her high soccer IQ, ability to read plays and be smart positionally. She is a strong tackler and will be able to keep up to the faster play at the university level.

"I am looking forward to playing for an active and competitive team while earning my degree in business", said Ava about joining the Providence community.

Welcome to the Pilots family Ava!
