Pilots Women’s Volleyball Add Setter Amanda Bergen
Pilots women’s volleyball are setting up to have a strong team this next 2021-2022 season with the addition of setter Amanda Bergen. The 5’6” is a consistent setter with high athleticism. She is well known for her positive attitude and keeping plays alive on the court.
Graduating from the Junior Pilots Volleyball Club, Bergen is no stranger to Providence and head coach Kyle Guenther. She will once again put on the Pilot wings and play for the varsity squad this fall.
On Bergen joining the team, Coach Guenther commented, “I am extremely happy to welcome Amanda to our program. I have been able to see her grow and develop in our Jr. Pilots program over her time with the club and she will be a great addition in the fall. Amanda has a consistent release and runs a fast tempo offense which will fit in nicely with our systems. Her court awareness and athleticism will be fun to watch in the coming years.”
Bergen resides in New Bothwell and is finishing up her last semester at Steinbach Regional Secondary School. This past year Amanda was awarded the 2020 High School Athletic Award. She also regularly helps coach the New Bothwell middle school volleyball team. Bergen said, “I am so excited to be able to continue my journey in volleyball through the program at Providence and start my new chapter in life in such a warm and welcoming community.”
Bergen comes to Providence to study in the Buller School of Business.
Welcome to the Pilot family Amanda!
