Pilots Men's Soccer Add Defender Rylee Chalmers
6'2" centre back, Rylee Chalmers, has signed his letter of intent to play for the Pilots men's soccer team this year. Head coach Joey Passi announced late last week that he added more depth to the back line. Coach Passi expressed, "I’m very happy to have Rylee join our team. We were looking to add some big defenders with experience to our backline and Rylee fits that to a tee. He has good experience, good athleticism, and brings a good work ethic to our program. I think he’s going to make an immediate impact and fit right in with our culture. He’s going to help add to what should be a strong team for us."
Chalmers comes to Providence after playing high level club soccer with London Whitecaps. His ball control, game intelligence and speed will be an asset to the back defensive line next fall. Chalmers also has a strong love and knowledge for the game as he is a certified soccer referee. Chalmers commented on joining the Pilots by saying, "I’m very excited to join the Pilots and contribute on and off the field." Chalmers plans on studying in the Buller School of Business.
Welcome to the Pilot family Rylee!
