Our team has been competing at a high level lately and I have been proud of the progression we have made thus far. Recently our offense has been producing well, propelling us to an 11-1 NIAC record. Our defense has struggled to get stops lately, which was the cause of our most recent defeat. This past weekend was another example of this. Our offense produced enough both nights to win, but our defense put us in a difficult position on Saturday afternoon. We traded buckets all game, each going on a couple of runs. Trinity went up 15 on us in the first half, but we were able to chip away and knot the game up by half. Learning from our late game mistakes from the weekend before, we were able to hold on and take home two wins. This next weekend marks both the end of our regular season and the end of 3 young women’s college careers. Come out on Friday evening to celebrate our senior night and watch Alison Zajac, Joanne Schwarz and Taylor Goodbrandson, play their final games in the Jubilee Auditorium.

“This past weekend both men’s and women’s teams traveled to Ellendale, North Dakota to play Trinity Bible College. Both of our games started off as a battle, being extremely close in scoring. The first game we were able to gain a lead on them in the 3rd quarter and keep that lead in till the end of the game. However, the second game continued to be a battle back and forth in till the end of the fourth, but with our good time management skills and smart decisions in the last few minutes we were able to keep a bit of a lead on them, pulling out our second win of the weekend. Now we are preparing this week for our important upcoming games against the CMU blazers.” (Taylor Goodbrandson, 4th year guard)
