FROM THE COACH:
That was definitely our toughest loss by far on the season. Not only because of the fact that it was playoffs in MCAC, but also in the way we lost. We felt like we were in control the first half with a 1-0 lead and then in 2 minutes of chaos we were suddenly behind 2-1. We went down 2-1 even though our defense barely conceded chances all game which made it very tough to swallow as a team. From there unfortunately we weren’t able to muster up quality chances as CMU backed up and got numbers back. Fortunately we have Regionals which is our #1 priority from the start and our goal is to go down and defend our championship. I think we can learn from the loss, and use it as fuel to go and get the regional banner. I’ve told the guys before, but we are a team that’s built to go deep in playoffs if we get going. I’m confident we can defend our title at the upcoming regionals.
