Entering in the first game, we knew that the Mustangs would be a physical team to play. Showing intensity and playing together the guys had a great start, ending the first half up by 7 pts. We knew that they would raise their level of intensity and aggressivity after the break. Still, our team have been surprised by the aggressivity of Sisseton to dive and jump on every ball none protected enough. Breaking our defence, they took the first game quite easily, scoring 26 pts off turnovers.
Decided to react and come back stronger, we started game 2 with a different strategy in defence. We played a very strong game full of suspense as the lead change 12 times! It was a team effort as 5 players of the team reached more than 10 pts during the game. Kendall Perpall, playing again with some of is former teammates of last year, led the Pilots in points (22 pts) when Freshman DeMar Krauss contributed with 12 pts (half from beyond the arc).
But a couple of mistakes in our defence opened a small gap that the Mustangs used to take the final lead a couple of minutes before the final buzzer, ending the game up by 3 and taking again a W.
Seeing the team reacting well like this is encouraging and give us some hope for the coming playoff. Our next stop is Trinity Bible College next weekend.

We are really close to figuring it out. Couple things to workout but we should have it before playoffs. It’s always good to be out there playing with your family win or lose. It was great to play alongside Kendall again. Plus the addition of Josh to the roster was great. Looking forward to our road trip coming up - Jordan Lawson – Co Captain
