Pilots Men's volleyball drove into Winnipeg last night hoping to come out with a win and claim 2nd place in the MCAC standings as the team faced University of Saint Boniface Thursday night. However coming out flat the team never seemed to get their game on track and fell three sets to zero.
GAME: Providence Pilots (6-6) vs Les Rouges de l’Universite de Saint-Boniface
SCORE: 0-3 (11-25; 17-25; 24-26)
DATE: January 24, 2019

PILOTS KEY CONTRIBUTORS:
Matt Friesen 10 kills, 2 blocks, 1 ace
Brett Foley 4 kills, 2 blocks
FROM THE COACH:
We were really looking forward to this match and were hoping it would be an opportunity to test ourselves against an opponent that is playing really well. Unfortunately, we came out quite flat and made many unforced errors. We slowly improved our intensity as the match went on but, in the end, couldn’t eliminate the high amount of unforced errors to beat a team like this.
It was disappointing to not be able to put up more of a challenge, however, I am confident that our team has the ability to compete with the best teams in our conference and I am hopeful that we can find that level when it matters most in the season.
