Pilots Flight Report: Men’s Futsal – MCAC Semi-Final
Pilots Futsal ended their season on a loss this weekend in the MCAC Championship Semi-Final with a 4-2 loss to the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.

Game #1
GAME: Providence Pilots vs Canadian Mennonite University Blazers
SCORE: L 2-4
DATE: March 7, 2020
LOCATION: Brandon University

- Josue Choez (1 goal, 1 assist)
- Braeden Owen (1 goal, one goal against)

FROM THE COACH: "Tough loss to CMU. We went in quite short-handed, and had to play a smaller lineup and also had to throw guys in new positions. Austin did well being thrown in the fire as a goal-keeper, and overall I thought we did alright. CMU is a talented team and the difference in the first half was simply them having better finish than us. They had quality chances and so did we, but they were able to capitalize on them. At the end of the first we panicked a bit and suffered the consequences with a red card from Aneil who was trying to stop a goal. I thought the guys fought hard in the second half but we just couldn't break down their low block. Even being short-handed I believed we could pull it off and we gave it a heck of a shot. I'm sad to have played the last game with Braeden Owen and Josue Choez who started with me at Prov. I'll miss both of them. They were both great contributors to this program and have had good success playing here taking 2 regional championships and getting all the way to a national final overtime. They will be missed." - Joseph Passi

"It’s always hard to lose but the guys fought hard and I’m proud to be a part of this team. I’m happy I was able to contribute with a goal and an assist in my last game as a Pilot. It’s been a great 4 years and it’s going to be tough to say goodbye." - Josue Choez
