Pilots Flight Report: Men’s Futsal - February 3

GAME: Providence Pilots vs Canadian Mennonite University
SCORE: Loss 11-4
DATE: February 3, 2019
LOCATION: Winnipeg, MB

IZZY - First goal with Providence

FROM THE COACH: "It was a rough game for us, no two ways about it. CMU has a very talented Futsal team with some players that have obviously grown up playing Futsal. It didn't help that we are fighting the injury bug and are randomly putting different players in net, however, that doesn't take away the fact that they out-played us in every facet of the game. It's a learning experience for us, and we will really have to think about how to actually improve from it so we can be competitive when it counts. What's most disappointing about the game I think is how we took such a big step back from a defensive standpoint. Even in scenarios where we should have had good defensive pressure, they still were able to create chances and score. We lost our 1v1's, our 2v2's, and didn't take away the areas we intended to. We'll need to bounce back strong for next weekend as it's a very crucial game in order for us to make playoffs."
