Pilots Flight Report: Men’s Basketball - February 21

Pilots season comes to an end with a heart break finish in the NCCAA North Regional quarter final.

Game #1
GAME: Providence Pilots vs Moody Bible Institute Archers
SCORE: Loss 81-83
DATE: February 21, 2019

#4 Cash Blanca: 22 pts - 4 Assists - 4 rbs
#12 Kendall Perpall: 22 pts - 4 Assists - 11 rbs
#6 Jordan Lawson: 18 pts - 6 Assists - 9 rbs

Ending our season with a lost in the first round of the NCCAA Regionals championship is tough. Especially after leading the game pretty much 38 minutes and up by 13 in the last 3 minutes of the match.
As a coach, I’m sad to see the end of the season, working with this group of guys has been an amazing experience and a great start to my first season in Canada. We had to fight all season long against teams with more size than us, but what we have accomplish as a team, as a family is priceless. All the hours, discussions, conflicts, tensions, laugh, emotions than we had together have contribute to forged a group of 12 amazing young men. As sad as I am to see Cash, Chris, Braxton and KP leaving, I’m looking forward to see how God is gonna use them in the future.

Now my eyes are turning to our next season, I’m going to work with our returning players to get them ready for next year and focus my attention on recruiting for our team and increasing our roster. We will have a couple of open tryouts in the next few weeks. We hope to see a lot of young talent coming to become a Pilots.
