From the Coach: We anticipated this would be a tough match and, even though we won in 3 sets, the 2nd and 3rd sets were real battles. Our team played some of our best volleyball yet. Of course, there’s still areas that need to improve but we are very pleased with where our game was at.
We have a tough challenge ahead of us Friday night as we face the undefeated CMU Blazers. They have a lot of experienced players and it will force us to have to play our best volleyball if we want a chance to compete.
From the Players: “Our team played one of our cleanest matches so far this year. We started two of the three sets behind in the score but worked hard to stay in each set, eventually winning both. It was a good statement to make for our team and showed that a lot of our practice and work is paying off. We are looking forward to CMU as our next challenge in the season.” (Brett Foley; 3rd year middle; co-captain)
