The signings for the Providence women’s soccer team continue, as head coach Tory Walker announces Jessica Waytiuk, another strong midfielder commits for the 2019 soccer season.
Jessica comes to Providence from Winnipeg, Manitoba as she competed at the top premier level her whole life. Most recently Jessica played for Boni-Vital FC as a centre midfielder as well as played for Winnipeg South End United. Jessica won team MVP for her Fort Richmond Collegiate high school team and has been an honour roll student all 4 years. Besides soccer, Jessica’s hobbies are photography, walking her dog Koda and volunteers for Winnipeg South End United football club coach U10 youth summer camp.
Jessica is interested in studying Social Sciences here at Providence. Jessica had this to say about her decision to commit to the Pilots women’s soccer team: “I am excited about joining the team and becoming a Pilot. The team culture seems super fun and is something I am excited to be apart of. The community and class room sizes made it an easy decision for me to choose Providence. I am excited to learn and grow as a player and person.”
Head coach Tory Walker said, “I am really happy Jessica decided to Join Providence. Jessica is a very technical player with great footwork, vision and a strong shot from distance. She will help bring more stability to our midfield. Character wise she will fit right in as she has a fun and goofy personality. Welcome to the Pilot family Jessica!”
