August 29th
Providence Soccer at SAIT
The Pilots landed their Exclusive bus in Calgary for a CCAA clash with the SAIT Trojans. The matches were expected to be challenging as both SAIT teams are projected to contend this season. The women’s match was exciting but result was not in the favor of the Pilots, with the Trojans winning by a score of 5-0. The men’s match was a tactical victory as the Pilots held the experienced Trojans to a mere 2-0 victory.

August 30th
Providence Soccer at Medicine Hat
The men’s team took the night off and focused on supporting the women who faced off with the Medicine Hat Rattlers. The Pilots controlled much of the game, but found themselves down 2-1 at the half. The team rallied back in the second half as Makayla Myer scored her second goal of the match, but the Pilots ultimately fell short by a score of 3-2.

August 31st
Providence Soccer at Medicine Hat
Both teams were back in action against Medicine Hat. The women hit the pitch first, in their rematch with the Rattlers. In a flashback to game one, the Pilots were again outplaying the Rattlers but found themselves down a goal at the half. The Pilots responded in the second half with a pair of goals from Anna Green, resulting in a 2-2 draw. The men took to the field next, in their only matchup with the Rattlers. The first half was action packed, but the teams headed into the break scoreless. The second half was a different story as Garreth Rayner and Sean Kirkpatrick each notched a goal apiece, leading the team to a 2-1 victory in their first win of the season.

The Pilots soccer teams kick off the MCAC season with their home opener against the CMU Blazers on September 11th. The women take the field at 1:00 pm and the men follow at 3:15 pm.
