FC Northwest Defender Nicholas Shewchuck Commits to the Providence Pilots Men's Soccer Team

Garden City Collegiate High School, Team Manitoba and FC Northwest are among the teams Nicholas Shewchuk has played for. He now plans to add Providence Pilots to that list.

Nicholas' preferred position on the pitch is defence. He is known for his vision on the field, accurate passing ability, composure with the ball and brave tackling.

"I chose Providence for two reasons," said Nick, "first one being I have a strong passion for the game and the second reason being I think college soccer is a good step up from what I used to play. I feel like I'll fit right in."

Nicholas plans on studying in the Buller School of Business as well as play for the men's soccer team.

Head coach Joey Passi had this to say about his newest recruit, "Nicholas is a solid kid who has his ducks in a row. He knows what he wants and he's willing to put the work in to make it happen. He comes with good soccer experience having played for a quality club. He brings versatility on the field along with quickness, vision and agility. He's going to be a great fit in our program."

Welcome to the Pilot family Nicholas!
