DESCRIPTION:Day/Time: Thursday\, March 20th @ noon to 1:30pm \nSpeaker: Layton Friesen\, Academic Dean\, Steinbach Bible College \nLocation: South Howison Room\, Student Life Centre\, Providence \nPresentation: “Harry Friesen Was Right: How Old-School Mennonite Non-Resistance Could Still Save Christian Ethics.” \nDescription: In this talk Friesen will make the impossible point that the old non-resistance that was abandoned in the 1950’s by all assimilated Mennonites in southern Manitoba had a spiritual furnace that no evangelism\, relief work\, social-justice warring\, militarism\, anti-bullying\, etc\, has ever managed to replace. By doing this\, he thinks he can demonstrate why modern ethics is so polarizing. \nThis event is FREE and open to the public. Zoom option is also available.
