Providence is delighted to announce that Scribe and The Color will perform a concert at the Otterburne campus on Sunday, September 3.

As part of the institution’s Welcome Week festivities, the event will cap off an exciting weekend that will also include a block party, a Pilots soccer match, an outdoor movie and numerous other activities. All students, staff and faculty are invited to attend, and the concert will also be open to the general public. Further Ticketing information will be made available in the coming weeks.

Scribe—born in Jamaica and raised in Canada—is a hip-hop artist currently living in Winnipeg. Formerly a member of the independent hip-hop collective KMF, his 2014 album The Callout was nominated for a Gospel Music Association of Canada (GMA) Covenant Award. He has also released two mix-tapes. Listen to "O' Lawd"

"The Color—an alternative rock band from southeastern Manitoba—won three GMA Awards in 2012, including the Hard Rock/Alternative Song of the Year prize for “Alive.” They have since put out two additional albums and last October dropped the single “Surprise.”

Following the success of last year’s Welcome Week concert, which featured The City Harmonic, Providence is looking forward to launching the 2017-18 school year in a big way with Scribe and The Color.
