Trey Friesen is accustomed to winning. As a Rosenort Redhawk he led his high school volleyball team to back-to-back Provincial A championships in 2015 and 2016. In 2016 and 107 he was named a Provincial All-Star, and for this past season he won the Provincials Players’ Choice Award.

The 6’1” left side is also a long-time Providence sports camper, having represented the Junior Pilots in every age category between 14U and 18U. Last week he signed his letter of intent to play for the varsity Pilots and attend Providence as a student.

“I am very excited for this next step, and to play with my new teammates,” he said.

Scott Masterson, head coach of the men’s volleyball team, is looking forward to welcoming Friesen, whom he describes as a “great guy with a great attitude and work ethic.”

“Trey is very athletic, and I believe he has a lot of potential to continue developing into an even better player,” said Masterson. “He is going to fit right in with our team, and we’re excited to have him join our program.”
