Providence Pilots basketball are back at it!

The Pilots basketball teams now travel down south this week to Dubuque, Iowa as the team competes for the third title in three weeks. The teams are now competing for the NCCAA II North Region title.

On the women’s side, they entre the tournament as the #2 seed and get a buy in the first round. They will face the winner of Calvary University and Trinity Bible College. Head coach, Joel Coursey commented saying, “We are flying through uncharted space right now. Last weekend was a high that we haven't experienced in 11 years. With only a couple of days between tournaments, we are challenged to refocus on the next phase of our season. My players are confident for the first time in a long time, entering the regional tournament. We hope that the work we have put in, the adversity we have faced, and our new found confidence will fuel success this weekend.

For the men’s side the Pilots are sitting as the #3 seed team and will face Moody Bible Institute. Pierre Dubreuil, men’s head coach said, “I am confident with my team and our ability to find success this weekend. It seems to me, that the region is wide open and ripe for the taking. Any team could be going to Greenville and I am happy with my team’s chances. Our first game will be against the Moody Archers, who have struggled to get wins this season. That said, everyone raises their level for the postseason.”

Action tips off Thursday, February 21st at 2:00PM, follow along and support your Pilots.
