Pilots men’s soccer add attacking midfielder Aneil Athwal to the team.

Pilots soccer coach Joseph Passi has announced that he has signed a talented attacking midfielder in Aneil Athwal. Aneil comes to Providence with current teammate from Coastal FC Austin Blackwell.

Aneil has spent time playing soccer for the British Columbia provincial team, trained with the whitecaps residency combine and has played the highest club level in the BCSPL for the last 11 years.
From White Rock, Aneil plans on studying in the Psychology program here at Providence.

“I’m very grateful to coach Joey for giving me the opportunity to play for the pilots and further my education and athletics” Said Aneil, “I’m excited to join the providence community because it’s a small school and has a great soccer program that competes in both Canada and America.”

Coach Passi commented on his newest recruit by saying, “I'm very pleased to get another player from Coastal FC. Besides that, Aneil also comes highly recommended by two people I already know so that's an added benefit as well. Aneil fills one of the last roles I was looking to fill on our roster for this next year. He's an attack-minded midfielder with great vision, dribbling ability, and a knack for creating something out of nothing. He's a high character kid who's willing to work hard and improve his game. We're really excited to have him join our program. He's going to fit right in with the boys.”

Welcome to the Pilot Family Aneil!
