FROM THE COACH:
In our first match back after a lengthy break, we came out with a great start. We took the first set off of the number one seed in the MCAC, CMU and were playing what I thought was the best volleyball we have seen in the last 2 months of our season. Our level didn’t drop terribly much but CMU showed why they are the best team in our conference right now with the way they stepped up. The Blazers ended up rattling off the next 3 sets and won the match but the way we played has me very optimistic moving forward. Our execution and efficiency was the highest it’s been but more importantly, our attitude and effort remained solid from start to finish. If we build off of that performance, we will be a tough opponent for the rest of the season.

Players View:
Our first match of the new semester brought us forward in many ways. We showed a glimpse of what our teams potential is and although the result wasn’t what we wanted, the way we played was only positive for us. It was great to see everyone step up in their individual responsibilities because that ultimately resulted in the team performing well as a unit. Everyone on and off the court contributed to how we played on Saturday and we will look for more of that the rest of the semester - Danella Alvaro - Team Captain
