FROM THE COACH:
This weekend wrapped up our murders row of NAIA non-conference games. As in the previous two weekends, Friday’s game was much of the same. We competed well but ended with a lopsided outcome. My expectation leading up to Saturdays game, was of an improved defensive matchup. I expected both teams to tighten things up leading to much lower scoring on both sides. Fortunately for us, we were able to accomplish both a raised level of offensive production and a much more stingy defense which led us to a 77-60 loss. Through the 6 games we have played thus far, we have been able to improve in different areas in each of them. With one more non-conference weekend in front of us against the NJCAA Rainy River Community College, we expect to enter our conference schedule, battle tested and ready to compete at a new level.

PLAYER’S VIEW:
“Each game keeps us growing stronger as a team and building strong chemistry. The first game on Friday was tough for us, but we managed to bounce back on Saturday with a much more competitive outcome. We fought hard throughout the weekend and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future has for our team!” (Megan Wiebe, 1st year guard)
