FROM THE COACH:
Tonight’s match was definitely an improvement over how we have been playing the last few weeks. We still had some patches where the wheels seemed to fall off a bit, giving up big runs in the 1st, 4th and 5th sets, which were big reasons why we couldn’t pull off the win. We were in great positions in the 4th and 5th sets, being up 20-18 and 8-6 respectively, and we would just like to see ourselves finish those sets.
I think we are starting to play better just in time for the end of the season and I think we will see our best volleyball when it comes to the MCAC Championships. We have some young players who have been working hard all year and are starting to play at a level that we need from them and our veterans continue to play well and set the standard for the team.
We are excited to host the MCAC Volleyball Championships and are excited for the opportunity to finish strong!

Players View:

Brett Foley: “Friday’s game had some high’s and low’s. Momentum went back and forth between us and USB. In the end, we played well but failed in a couple key moments. It was a fun game that will set the stage for the semi-finals.”

Matt Friesen: “Friday was our last league game at home and it was senior recognition night, which made it an awesome environment to play in. It was a five-set battle that went back and forth. Unfortunately, we were not able to close out the fifth set the way we wanted. We played at a much higher level than we have in the past few games and are looking to make a few adjustments and carry that over into playoffs.”
