FROM THE COACH:
This was our best weekend offensively for sure this year, and top 2 overall weekends period. The boys played solid soccer in both games and really brought together all the offensive things we had been working on all year. From a coach’s perspective it was great to see the things we’ve been working on throughout the year come together like that. Against Red River we started out by getting behind their lines consistently but just weren’t getting our crosses off quick enough. Once we figured that out it came together pretty quick. The Saint Boniface game truly was our best offensive performance this year by a mile. We were dangerous across the board. Guys were making key runs, and you could tell they were on the same page when it came to passing. I think it has taken a little bit of time to figure out our identity and chemistry due to having so many new faces but I thought our rookies this weekend all made big impacts. And finally I can’t forget mentioning how our defense including Evan were excellent in getting two solid shutouts. We’re coming together at the right time for playoffs that are around the corner. I’m excited for what we can do.

PLAYER’S VIEW:
Thanu Kumar: The team this weekend played spectacular, we carried a ton of confidence going into the weekend knowing we had two big games to take care of and get W’s for. The team came together well offensively and in my opinion it was our best offensive performances so far this season. With two regular season games left we must carry this momentum forward going into MCAC playoffs.
