Midweek Pilots Flight Report: Women's Volleyball

Pilots volleyball showed some fight and grit as they hosted the University of Saint Boniface Les Rouge last night, but came up short in the 5th set.

GAME: Providence Pilots (0-4) vs. St. Boniface University (4-2)
SCORE: USB def. PUC 3-2 (25-16, 18-25, 25-18, 20-25, 15-12)
DATE: November 29, 2018
LOCATION: Otterburne, MB

PILOTS KEY CONTRIBUTORS:
Maddie Fehr: 15 Kills, 10 Digs, 3 Aces
Danella Alvaro: 8 Kills, 12 Digs, 3 Aces

FROM THE COACH:
It has been a challenging start to the MCAC season for our team. As the losses start to add up, the pressure is mounting to turn things around. Against St. Boniface, we played 2 of the better sets I have seen from our squad in quite a while. The tough part was that both of those sets came after losing the previous set. We pushed St. Boniface to 5 but ultimately our inconsistency was the biggest factor and couldn’t close them out. It was hard to see a 5-1 lead in the 5th set disappear after we gave up a 10-1 run to follow. We are battling ourselves more than anything else right now and we are committed to find ways to get out of this slide we are on.

NEXT UP: Providence vs. Canadian Mennonite University
DATE: Friday, November 30, 2018
