Holding Midfielder Jeffrey Horton from Okinawa Japan commits to the Pilots.
The signings are coming in fast and furious as head coach Joseph Passi announced he has signed another top talent from across the world. Jeffrey, team captain and MVP from Kubasaki High School has committed to play soccer and study in the Buller School of Business here at Providence.
Coach Joseph Passi comments on his newest recruit by saying, “Jeffrey comes from a family who are high achievers and maintain high standards. Being able to interact, and see what the family is about always tells me a lot about the player joining our program. He’s going to bring passion, perseverance, and physicality to our program, all things he will need. He comes from a successful high school team and club team with a very intense program, and that’s going to help him as he transitions to our program. He’s a holding mid who isn’t afraid to get in the trenches, and who also has a soft enough touch to get out of trouble when he needs to. That attitude and ability will fit in nicely with the team of guys we have. We’re pumped to have him join our team.”
“I was recruited by Coach Joey Passi to Play at Providence University” Says Jeffrey, “It’s a small school with a powerful sports program and I’m excited to play for a varsity program that competes in both Canada and the USA. I am looking forward to excelling in a program that has high expectations and demands from me in both academics and athletics. Even though I have grown up living overseas, I’m excited to go to another international country to play soccer at the collegiate level.”
Welcome to the Pilot family Jeffrey!
