The men and women’s basketball teams will have a full and busy schedule with lots of traveling this 2018-2019 season. This past week, the Providence Pilots basketball teams released their action-packed 2018-2019 basketball schedule. Kicking off against the Providence alumni on Saturday, September 22nd, the lineup includes eleven Home games for the community to enjoy, as well as a robust travel schedule.
The trip the coaches are most excited about is the tour across the Mid-West in the United States, as the teams play three games in three days in three different cities. Starting at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA, the teams will travel to McPherson, KS, to play against Central Christian College and finish it off at Calvary University in Kansas City, KS.
Here is what Coach Joel Coursey had to say about the upcoming season: “I am excited for the program we have put together this year. I think we will be stretched and challenged throughout the season. I wanted a schedule that would prepare us for playoffs and put us in a position to be successful late in the season. I have 3 seniors this year and my girls are all highly motivated to achieve something special. I only expect the toughest opposition from our local schools and I believe my girls are ready for the challenge.” The basketball teams will be competing in the MCAC, NIAC and NCCAA leagues this year.
